Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump, expected to take place tomorrow or within the next few days.

This was reported by G.Business, citing a statement from Zelenskyy during a briefing with EU leaders.

Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine's reliance on continued U.S. support, specifically highlighting critical needs that European countries cannot currently meet. The primary focus is on Patriot missiles, essential components for Ukraine’s air defense systems.

The Ukrainian president also mentioned plans to ramp up domestic production capabilities, noting that this requires increased financial support from international partners.

"Thankfully, we have strong relations with European countries. Regarding our bilateral relationship with the U.S. and their support, I hope we’ll discuss these matters with President Trump possibly tomorrow or in the next few days," Zelenskyy said.

Speculations Around the Call

Earlier today, July 3, Politico reported—citing internal sources—that Zelenskyy and Trump would soon hold a phone conversation. This news follows Washington's recent decision to temporarily suspend military aid deliveries to Ukraine. Additionally, Financial Times sources suggest the call could occur as soon as tomorrow, July 4.
