UK Defence Secretary John Healey has called for a 50-day push to arm Ukraine at today’s Ramstein-format meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. His goal: to increase military pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and push him to the negotiating table.G.Business reports this, citing The Telegraph.

Healey, presiding for the fourth time over a Ramstein session—this time alongside German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius—backs the recent strategy of U.S. President Donald Trump, who threatened harsh sanctions on Russia if it does not agree to a ceasefire by September 2.

“The U.S. has started a 50-day countdown. We, as members of the Ukraine Contact Group, must act on the battlefield to force Putin to negotiate,” Healey is expected to declare.

New Deliveries: Missiles, Ammunition, Drones

The UK Ministry of Defence confirmed that air defense missiles and artillery shells worth £150 million were delivered to Ukraine in the past two months. A total of £700 million in aid is pledged for 2025.

Britain has already delivered 50,000 drones over the past six months and will provide 20,000 more through a coalition led by the UK and Latvia. Renewz.de reports that the UK and Germany will jointly purchase air defense missiles worth €170 million using German funds.
